Medical Items Physical Therapy
Walter Reed Medical Hospital has a requirement to purchase Indego Therapy Kit for the use of Physical Therapy Department. The Government intends to procure these items on a sole source basis from Parker Hannifin Corporation due to market research indicates that Parker Hannifin has unique characteristics including a Indego devices that consists of 5 components and interchangeable components that accommodate varying body types and shapes that come with rechargeable Li-ion battery integrated in hip which provides a day of clinical use. Parker Hannifin Corporation also provides an app which gives Bluetooth Smart capability to contract gait and posture parameters in real time which allows better patient performance and system reporting.
This notice is not a request for competitive quotes and solicitation for requirement will not be issued. Prospective offerors are advised that, because there are no other known sources, the agency has authorized the procurement of the equipment under oath than full and open competition under FAR 6.3. However, interested responsible sources may submit a capability statement for the agency’s consideration in determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted in the future for these items. A copy of the Justification and Approval will be posted no later than 14 days after contract award.
