Medicaid Strategic Planning
The State is seeking a qualified contractor to provide assistance for Development of the State Medicaid Health Information Technology (HIT) Plan (SMHP), Medicaid Regulation Analysis and Recommendations and Medicaid Systems Replacement Planning and Procurement.
A contract resulting from this Request for Proposal will be issued for a period of fifteen (15) months
effective from the date of contract award, with the option to renew for an additional one (1) year period
as mutually agreed upon by all parties.
The Department goals are to advance the MMIS
technical foundation, position for changes in HIT, and to potentially avoid the cost of upgrading
the current MMIS for ICD-10. The Department recognizes that time is of the essence, and bidders are
encouraged to be aggressive yet realistic in time frames that would allow the Department to
achieve these goals.
The Scope of Work calls for the Contractor to conduct the following activities:
1. State Medicaid Health Information Technology (HIT) Plan (SMHP) development;
2. Medicaid regulation analysis and recommendations;
3. Medicaid systems replacement planning; and
4. Medicaid systems procurement.
