Media Relations Services
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit a qualified public relations/media relations firm or firms to assist and advise the organization with media activities including proactive media outreach programs. The Consultant will help the organizations Media Office plan and carry out media and public outreach campaigns on various projects, including AQMDs Air Quality Index Initiative, a minority advertising and outreach initiative and other air quality projects as they occur. The Consultant also will provide recommendations and advice on high-profile AQMD-related media issues and interviews. The Consultant will be required to work closely with the Media Relations Manager in consultation with the AQMD Executive Officer. The Consultant should demonstrate knowledge and experience in public relations with a strong background in media relations at the local, regional, and national levels. Knowledge of Southern California air quality issues and programs, as well as familiarity with the AQMD will be very helpful.
