The Malcom Randall VAMC in Gainesville, FL has a requirement for Matrix Neuro surgical supplies including Self-Drilling and Emergency Screws (3mm and 4mm); Burr Hole Covers (12mm, 15mm, 17mm and 24mm); Straight, Box, Adaption, Strut and Y Plates; Contour Mesh and Screwdrivers. About 35 line items in all.
A "Brand Name or Equal" solicitation is anticipated using the Synthes MatrixNEURO Plating System as the baseline to ensure compatibility with existing equipment and supplies. Vendors must clearly identify items offered as "Exact Match" or "Equal" in their offers, to include Make/Model/Part Number and provide documentation with their submission which clearly establishes, in the view of the USG Contracting Officer, that any "Equal" items offered meet the salient characteristics detailed in the solicitation in all relevant form, fit and function.
The solicitation is expected to be released on/about 1 July 2014 and is expected to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
