The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Please do not submit a proposal in response to this RFI. This notice is to assist the VA in the determination of sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Marshalltown Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) a part of the Central Iowa Health Care System (CIHCS), is seeking potential Contractors capable of providing Radiology Services for the Marshalltown CBOC, located at 101 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158. These services are solely dedicated to Veteran patients of the Central Iowa Health Care System.

Services to be provided include:

The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, facility, professional and technical personnel services to provide general x-ray exams (technical component only) for eligible veteran beneficiaries as referred by the Marshalltown CBOC. General radiology images shall be captured by computed radiography or digital radiography and not on x-ray film. The Contractor s place of business is a brick-and-mortar facility that must be within 10 miles of the CBOC in Marshalltown, Iowa, in order to allow patients to receive radiology services in a timely, safe, and efficient manner without compromising patient care.

The VA beneficiaries will be referred to the contractor on an as needed basis. The contractor will provide x-ray services for approximately 60 patients per month Monday through Friday between 7:30am through 4:30pm.

Orders will be faxed to the radiology department and the orders will designate the x-ray procedure and CPT Code. Upon completion of x-ray(s) the patients images will be stored on a CD in DICOM(.dcm) formant and sent to Marshalltown CBOC.

Additional Information: The VA seeks to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS Code 622110, General Medical and Surgical Hospitals; size standard of $38.5 Million.

Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and develop a potential procurement strategy. After review of responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the FedBizOpps website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond directly to any corresponding solicitation by submitting a proposal.
