Arkansas Delta Byways regional tourism promotion association is requesting responses from qualified
firms for the completion of a Marketing and Promotional Plan of Action for the 15-county region in
eastern Arkansas. Arkansas Delta Byways, located at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, includes
the counties of Clay, Greene, Mississippi, Craighead, Poinsett, Cross, Crittenden, St. Francis, Lee,
Monroe, Phillips, Arkansas, Desha, Drew and Chicot and is linked by two corridors designated as
National Scenic Byways the Great River Road (traversing 10 counties) and Crowleys Ridge Parkway
(traversing 8 counties). Although the urban centers of Memphis (adjacent) and Little Rock (one hour by
car) are nearby, the region is primarily rural and has tremendous cultural and natural heritage assets, both
developed and yet to be realized.
