The objectives of the consultant include the following:
1.To assist VRAC in identifying and marketing services to various stakeholders as outlined in the introductory paragraph. Additional stakeholders who do not employ vocational rehabilitation professionals but in whom we have a vested interest include educational institutions who offer courses related to our field, research organizations and governmental departments who provide information and offer research grants.
2.To assist VRAC to build our professional membership to include those currently working in vocational rehabilitation in Canada with no professional affiliation.
3.To assist VRAC in formulating an action plan that will enable us in the future to identify and contact additional stakeholders through the development of brochures, other appropriate written materials and online information and in updating our website (Not sure about this but I thought I would include it) to better showcase the value of our association to our existing and potential stakeholders.
4.To assist VRAC in developing a strong professional network which includes related organizations in our field and which are located in Canada, the United States and other countries that recognize our profession such as England, Australia, etc.

Qualifications of the Consultant:
We are looking for a consultant who possesses the following qualifications:
1.Experience in marketing not-for profit organizations to stakeholders in the rehabilitation, mental health and other related fields.
2.Ability to develop a marketing plan and appropriate on-line tools and links that VRAC can access to market our services.
3.Sufficient awareness of the post-secondary academic field to assist VRAC in in the further development of appropriate academic modules that are offered to members to assist them in obtaining continuing education credits.
4.Ability to assist VRAC to better advertise our services in both official languages. This would include advice on grants to apply for to translate our information and companies who could assist us in both translating our written material and appropriate dissemination of same.

Deliverables:
The consultant is expected to submit the following deliverables:
1.Recommendations for appropriate social media groups where we can best advertise our services and preparation and delivery of social media content.
2.A marketing strategy to best assist us in growing and publicising our organization.
3.An improved website that addresses the needs of our growing organization and appropriately illustrates our anticipated goals.
4.Recommendations for appropriate translators, grant providers, etc. to enable us to offer our services effectively in both official languages.

Time Frames and Budget:
The application deadline is March 8, 2018 and selection will be finalized within two weeks.
The proposal must include a cover letter that specifies the company official responsible for proposed commitments, a primary contact person and must also certify the accuracy of all the information in the proposal.
The proposal must include:
1.A brief history an overview of the bidder.
2.Provide a list of comparable organizations where a successful project has been completed including contact information.
3.An outline of industry and academic memberships in addition to any written industry recognition, accomplishment and awards.
4.Biographical information regard the specific individual who would be assigned this work which would include education, work experience, specific skills, years employed by the bidder and an outline of specific projects in which the individual had significant involvement.
5.An outline of other services and value-added considerations as to why the bidder should be chosen.
Management of the consultancy and payments will be done as follows: initial payment of 33.33% upon contract approval; equal payments of 33.33% at the mid-way point and at the end. A budget of $50,000.00 will be provided.
It is expected that the consultant will receive information from stakeholders via electronic means and there will be no payments for travel and other expenses.
