Linear Light Source Kit
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Office intends to procure fifty-two (52) CRIME-LITE Linear Light Source Mains and battery Powered Kit for Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). The accessories that make up this kit are provided within RFQ N00189-16-T-Z139 attached to this synopsis.
The proposed procurement is being processed on an other than full and open competitive basis with Foster and Freeman USA Inc. of Sterling VA pursuant to 41 USC 1901(e)(2), a sole source acquisition under the authority of the test program for certain commercial items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). The proposed action will result will result in a firm fixed price purchase order.
Foster and Freeman is the only vendor that offers a Forensic Light Source that meets the unique needs of NCIS Special Agents.
Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code is 334516, small business size standard is 500 employees. RFQ N00189-16-T-Z139 as well as the appropriate Justification and Approval are attached in accordance with FAR 13.501(a)(1(iv)
