The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) intends to award a purchase order to Leica Microsystems Inc., 1700 Leider Lane, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 for the Services on the SP5II DICH IR READY RESON SCAN (GOLD+SP5-IR READY+RS SCAN=HYD#1617) AND SP5II UV/405 561 DICHROIC (GOLD-SP5+UV/405+405+561+DYD#1618)

The sole source determination is based on if "The owner or operator will be fully laible for all consequences which may result, if the device is opened by persons other than authorized Leica service staff".
In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NICHD-14-041 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package via email [email protected].
