PERFORMACE WORK STATEMENT

1. Preventative Maintenance description of work:
RF Door Maintenance:
• Thorough cleaning of all RF contact surfaces
• Inspect, Lubricate and Adjust Door System(s) Mechanism (including hinges, bearing, etc.)
• Inspect door contacts and all damaged areas as required
• Rudimentary training of MRI staff in weekly maintenance procedures to maximize performance in between maintenance visits
2. RF Enclosure Inspections and Maintenance:
• Provide visual inspection of all penetrations into the room including filters, waveguide air vent panels, waveguide feedthroughs and connector penetrations.
3. Non-Scheduled Service Calls - Included in agreement
• GENERAL NOTE: * The price of the CONTRACT includes all travel cost and assumes these services can be completed on one (1) technician/crew mobilization on all chambers/doors listed.
• Vendor shall respond within a 2 hour window to minimize downtime to make arrangements to be onsite to resolve all issues in a timely manner. MRI Services operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and if the vendor does not resolve door issues in a timely manner, patient care will not be provided causing serious delays in service.

STATEMENT OF WORK DESCRIPTION SPECIFICATIONS


Contractor shall provide annual all-inclusive RF Shielding and MRI Door Maintenance/Service Agreement support for the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Radiology Department, MRI Section and Sewells Point Branch Medical Clinic to include all necessary surface cleaning, lubricnants, door adjustments, mechanism repairs (including hinges, bearings, etc.), inspections, rudimentary training of MRI staff personnel in weekly maintenance procedures. All maintenance provisions shall apply to hardware as appropriate, unless otherwise stated in Contractor's End User Manuals or other Contractor documentation/service terms and conditions.


1. General
a. The contractor shall comply with Federal, State, and Local Laws, plus any Federal Regulations as applicable to the performance of this contract.
b. The Contractor shall not accept any instructions issued by any person employed by the U.S. Government, other than: the Contracting Officer (KO), or Biomedical Engineering Division (BME), all acting within the limits of their authority.
c. The Contractor shall be qualified / authorized by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in the repair of all equipment listed within this contract. Contractor shall maintain qualifications throughout entire contract period of performance (POP). Qualification includes but not limited to the certification of all repair persons and repair facilities by the OEM as being trained / qualified to perform required repairs. Qualifications must be current (within 2 years). The Government shall maintain the right to seek proof of qualification prior to award and anytime during contract POP.
