Maintenance Services of Ensite Velocity System Intent to Sole Source
The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) (NCO22) Network Contract Office, Located in Long Beach, CA intends to enter into a sole source, firm fixed price procurement with St. Jude Medical Inc. This proposed contract action is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source (41 USC 253 (c) (1)), and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agencies requirements. This incorporates provisions and clauses of those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-07. A Justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The contract is firm-fixed-price with the NAICS Code of 811219. The services are for preventive maintenance and software upgrades of the EnSite Velocity Cardiac Mapping System. St. Jude Medical is the only vendor authorized and capable of meeting the requirement of providing services and software upgrades for the Ensite System located at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, the FBO announcement only constitutes the intent to sole source. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
