We are pleased to announce the 2010-2011 grant cycle of the Maine Family Literacy Initiative (MEFLI), a program of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy designed to support the development of family literacy throughout the State of Maine. The individual components - adult literacy, early childhood literacy and intergenerational literacy - do not have to be new to your district or community, but you must demonstrate how they will be delivered in an integrated manner to achieve full benefit of the family literacy approach to literacy. For a definition of family literacy, visit www.mainefamilyliteracy.com. Collaboration with other agencies concerned with the well-being of Maine families is required
