Sources Sought Description: The purpose of this SOURCES SOUGHT notice is to request capability statements from interested 8(a) small business vendors that can support the Government's requirement for Macintosh information technology (IT) engineering and Tier 3 support services for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Washington Headquarters Services Supported Organizations (WSO), and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) user communities. The Government seeks to acquire seamless, reliable and responsive support for Macintosh IT services and expects the improvement of existing services resulting in a stable and secure Macintosh solution. This Sources Sought Notice is for MARKET RESEARCH and PLANNING purposes only. It is not a request for proposal (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the final acquisition strategy. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. The submission of any information in response to this SOUCES SOUGHT notice is voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541512: Computer Systems Design Services.


Description of Requested Capabilities: A Performance Work Statement (PWS) summary describing the Government's requirement is attached to this notice. All qualified businesses designated 8(a) under NAICS code 541512, with capabilities to successfully perform the requirements described in the attached PWS, are encouraged to submit a response.


Submission Requirements: Capability Statements must be submitted via e-mail to vincent.c.spencer.civ@mail.mil not later than 3:00 PM EST on March 13, 2015. Please no phone calls. Only attach MS Word/Excel compatible files or Adobe Acrobat PDF files in electronic correspondence.


Required Format: Submit a capabilities statement with a maximum of seven (7) typed pages that are single spaced using 12 inch Times New Roman font within an 8.5 by 11 inches page size. No hard copy or facsimile submissions will be accepted. Cover letters and extraneous materials (brochures, etc.) will not be considered. The capabilities statement should include the following information:
1. Complete Business Name, including DUNS Number, Tax ID and CAGE Code
2. Contact Information (Respondent's name and title, address, telephone, e-mail)
3. Business Size and Classification(s) (small, small-disadvantaged, SBA Certified 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, etc.)
4. GSA Schedule Information (If the respondent possesses a GSA Schedule contract).
5. A description of the firm's capabilities to provide cleared, qualified personnel and a description of the firm's capabilities to meet the requirements listed in the PWS.
6. Recent and relevant contracts (last 3-5 years), including the servicing agency, point of contact, dollar value, period of performance, and scope of the work.


Questions: Interested firms should submit questions regarding the attached PWS or the Capability Statement submission requirements via email to vincent.c.spencer.civ@mail.mil. All questions concerning this SOURCES SOUGHT notice must be submitted by 3:00 PM EST on March 6, 2015.


Disclaimer: Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation
synopsis and/or solicitation MAY be published. The Government will NOT accept requests for meetings or briefings. Information and materials submitted in response to this notice WILL NOT be returned. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses received nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. As a result of this notice, the Government MAY issue a RFP. There is no solicitation available at this time. However, should a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this notice or the Government's use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement.


Confidentiality: No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).
