Machining Services - Sole Source
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for toroid part machining. The compliant service is available solely from Merrill Technologies Group. The NAICS code is 332710 and the size standard is 500.
The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Merrill Technologies Group. The proposed action is for Merrill Technologies Group machining services, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Merrill Technologies Group is the only source for the required service within the required timeframe. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Merrill Technologies Group using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 11:00AM 31 October 2019. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 11:00AM on 10/31/2019 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
