Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Mouse Behavioral Phenotyping
 
Description(s):

The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to The University of North Carolina (UNC), 4200 Medical Biomolecular Research Building (MBRB), 111 Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27599 for continued access to laboratory resources that will be used by the Division of Intermural Research to test their molecular hypothysises about brain function, to create animal models of nurological disorders, and to confirm suspected environmental toxicants. These studies require the use of a broad array of mouse phenotyping assays to evaluate affects across multiple functional domains.

The Statutory Authority permitting the action is FAR 6.302-1 - "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." 

The Anticipated Period of Performance is 60 months.

The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541380 and the business size standard is $15M.

This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS' requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Christopher Fisher at Christopher.fisher@nih.gov and are due by 11:00AM ET on 11/26/2018. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
