MOBILITY AND TRAVEL TRAINING SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTATION TO PUBLIC TRANSIT
The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to
enable them to prepare and submit a proposal for Mobility and Travel Training
for seniors and people with cognitive, developmental, sensory, or mental health
disabilities.
The County intends to use the results of this process to award a contract(s) or
issuance of purchase order for the services stated above.
County is searching for a vendor with experience training
people with cognitive, developmental, sensory and mental health
disabilities to use public transit. Dane County is also searching for a
vendor who will assist and train senior citizens and other
inexperienced transit riders with riding public transit vehicles. Vendor
will train riders on safety awareness, trip planning and other skills to
increase their comfort in using this transportation and will accompany
the trainee on rides until rider is ready to use public transit
independently.
