MK74 Gas Generator Production & Deployed System Support
The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Orbital-ATK (OATK) (210 State Route 956, Rocket Center, WV 26726-4730) to provide contractor support for the following:
1. production of MK74 Gas Generators;
2. alteration of MK74 Gas Generators to incorporate Government-Furnished optical initiators;
3. technical engineering support and surveillance of fleet deployed MK74 Gas Generators; and
4. special studies for addressing emergent issues related to Gas Generator production and life-cycle support.
This action will result in a Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Level of Effort and Completion, type contract. The Period of Performance is 48 months (if all Options are exercised). Performance is required at contractor's facility. An award notice will be publicized.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
