MK 690 Umbilical Connectors
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (PHD NSWC) Port Hueneme, Ca. intends to issue a firm fixed priced order to purchase p/n 91-565988-000, MK 690 CATS Umbilical Connector, 13, ea. Required delivery will be in 15 weeks at receipt of order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 334417 with a Size Standard of 500 employees.
The contractor is Amphenol Aerospace Corporation, the authorized manufacturer of the MK 690 CATS Umbilical Connector and is the sole manufacturer. Amphenol Aerospace Corporation owns and maintains the proprietary source control drawings, production capability, and system design expertise that is required for this unit. The MK 690 CATS Umbilical Connector is designed to be installed with the MK 690 Canister assembly Test Set (CATS) to a MK25 Mod 0 Canister, which is used for the MK41 VLS Evolved Seasparrow Missile. The anticipated issuance date for this order is on, or around 30 June 2014.
Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within Thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
