MINERAL AND ROAD BUILDING MATERIALS
Pre-bid meetings on 10/29/09 and 10/20/09.
The successful bidders shall be required to supply the County with materials on an as needed basis to support Road Department and Flood Control District facilities maintenance programs. The contractor shall also accept asphalt spoils such as grindings, chunks of asphalt concrete, etc., with minimal geotextiles or dirt and Portland concrete with small amounts of rebar for recycling. Maintenance projects are on-going.
The County anticipates awarding multiple contracts to bidders in various locations. The successful bidders will be expected to supply the type and quantity of mineral and road building materials specified in an emergency and whenever requested by the County. The successful bidders shall be responsible for providing asphalt concrete, liquid asphalts, asphalt cutback, aggregate base, fine aggregate, asphalt or concrete disposal, 100% recycled asphalt product and/or 100% recycled aggregate base as per Caltrans specifications for the material.
