DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project work consists of maintenance dredging of shoal material from the Federal navigation channel. The work consists of Entrance Channel Cuts 2 through 3, Fisher Island Turning Basin, Fisherman's Channel, Lummus Island Turning Basin, and Main Turning Basin. The project will entail bed leveling of Cut 2 to a required depth of 52 feet; the dredging of Cut 3, Fisher Island Turning Basin (FITB), Fisherman's Channel, and Lummus Island Turning Basin (LITB) to the required depth of 50 feet; and the dredging of the Main Turning Basin to the required depth of 36 feet. All dredging areas will incorporate 1 foot of allowable overdepth. All dredged material from the project will be disposed of in the Miami Ocean Dredged Material Placement Site (ODMDS) located approximately 2 nautical miles from the eastern end of the Entrance Channel. Estimated quantities to be dredged will be shown in Section 00010A LINE ITEMS AND PRICING SCHEDULE. Additional work includes, but is not limited to, endangered species monitoring and turbidity monitoring.


NAICS Code 237990, size standard $27.5 million.


Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The Solicitation will be issued on or about 06 November 2019 and proposals will be due on or about 06 December 2019. The award of the task order will be made on the basis of Lowest Price Technical Acceptable (LPTA). The technical evaluation factors are availability of technically acceptable plant and equipment and past performance.
