MEDIA, CATALOGING AND DIGITAL PROCESSING SERVICES
The San Antonio Public Library is soliciting bids for the purchase of adult, young adult, and childrens media materials in English, Spanish, and other languages; cataloging and digital processing services; acknowledgements; and electronic ordering and invoicing services. The Library plans to spend an estimated total of $6,250,000.00 during the contract period with $2,812,500.00 spent on DVDs, $2,187,500.00 spent on Spoken Word, and $1,250,000.00 spent on Music CDs (these are estimated targets and not binding on this contract). These materials will support the collections of the Central Library, 23 branches, one bookmobile and a new school/public library opening in August 2009. During this contract period, the bidder will work with the Library on developing an opening day collection for up to two new branch libraries.
