The Monongalia County Mass Transit Authority is accepting Request for Qualifications from Design-Builders for the Design and Construction of a Solar Power Plant to be located on the roof of thei r 40,000 sf bus garage at 420 DuPont Road Morgantown, WV, The project will provide electricity generated by the solar power plant directly into t he local electrical grid. This project is being funded by a TIGGER II Federal transit Administration grant. The project will be delivered by the Design-Build method o f project delivery as required by the West Virginia Design-Build Procuremen t Act, West Virginia State Code Article 22A and Legislative Rule 14 8-11-1. The RFQ will be available on July 15, 2011. Design and /or Construction Companies may secure one electronic copy of the Request for Qualifications from the Owners Criteria Developer, Lloyd W. Miller, by emailing the fo llowing information to Mr. Miller at lwmillercriteria@suddenlink.net: Company Name, Company's main line of business, Name of the contact pers on, and the contact person's phone number-mailing ad dress-and email address. An electronic business card in the .vcf file form at will be appreciated. The RFQ will be emailed to the contact person. A mandatory pre proposal meeting will be held on July 25, 2011 a t 1000 am. at the Authority's office at 420 DuPont Roa d Morgantown, WV. This is a mandatory pre-proposal meeting and all inter ested Design-Builders are required to attend. Qualifications will be received no later than August 26, 2011 at 400 pm. Deliver ten copies to David Sniffy, General Ma nager, Mountain Line transit Authority, 420 DuPont Road Morgantown, WV 265 01. All design professionals and contractors sub mitting qualifications must be licensed to practice their discipline in the s tate of West Virginia. The Owner will evaluate the Qualifications, a nd select three to five firms which, in their opinion, are best qualified to provide the desired services. These firms will then be invited to enter into a written agreement to provide proposals in response to a Request for Proposa l. The Owner will afford full opportunity to wome n-owned and minority business enterprises that submit a response to the Requ est for Qualifications and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap, or nat ional origin.
