MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT FOR FEMAP LICENSES
NASA/GRC has a requirement for the continued annual maintenance, support, and upgrades for the FEMAP floating licenses currently in use at our Center.
NASA/GRC intends to purchase this support from SARATECH, 14 Monarch Bay Plaza #429, Dana Pt, CA 92629-3424. Due to Saratech's unique expertise in FEMAP, they are the authorized small business vendor appointed by Siemans, the developer of the software. As the Value Added Reseller, Saratech is able to provide the necessary technical support service component of the maintenance. Other resellers do not have the same level of technical qualifications with FEMAP.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisitions set forth in FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 7, 2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
