Consulting Services: Bureau of Transportation Systems Planning
The consultant will provide planning support, public education and steering committee facilitation
services to implement the Gateway 1 Action Plan. These tasks provide interim services to link the
development of the Plan to its full implementation in the Route 1 Corridor, a Corridor of Regional
Significance as described in "Connecting Maine", MaineDOT's long range transportation plan.
Gateway 1 is a Strategic Transportation-Land Use Corridor Preservation Plan for U.S. Route 1,
Brunswick to Stockton Springs. The Maine Department of Transportation is looking for someone
to coordinate with the communitys, general public, government agencies, etc. relative to
transportation and land use objectives of Gateway 1. The successful respondent will be responsible
for the following:
