This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Summary of Services: This specification establishes a requirement for corrective maintenance support and Preventative Maintenance (PM) support for a MAG 800 CNC MILL (Bar code # L6824) located on Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), Anniston, Alabama.
The Contractor shall provide the Government corrective maintenance support for the MAG 800 CNC MILL located at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama. Corrective Maintenance shall include:

A. Contractor shall replace the Z axis rails and bearings.


B. The Government will provide all parts needed for repairs.


C. The contractor shall provide to the government a complete list of parts that will be needed to complete the repairs. This list shall be provided at the time of the offer's bid submission in order for the government to ensure all parts needed have been purchased and are on site prior to the contractor starting work.


D. If any work or part is outsourced by the Contractor all requirements listed in this SOW shall apply to subcontractors.


The contractor shall provide the government with a Preventative Maintenance (PM) service after the repairs have been made. The PM shall be in accordance with the published OEM specifications for this machine. Any deficiencies found during the PM should be conveyed to the Contracting Officer and the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) in a timely manner using a service document as detailed in section 4.0 of this SOW. Please provide a hourly rate to make any repairs that may be found. Any parts needed will be provided to the government on a cost reimbursable basis.


The Contractor shall furnish to the Government a service document and invoice which will be used to verify all work has been completed. The Contractor shall furnish to the Government one copy of this report form upon completion of any corrective action taken by the Contractor. The report form shall include as a minimum the following:



A. Date and Time of Arrival


B. Time Spent for Repair


C. Description of Malfunction


E. Description of Parts Replaced


E. Costs for all repairs


 



The Anniston Army Depot is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, and small business concerns. Small business concerns are defined under the associated North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this is 333517 - Machine Tool Manufacturing: size standard is 500 employees. Please include your company's size classification and socio-economic status in any response to this notice. Responses to this notice must be submitted electronically to Katherine Fuller, katherine.b.fuller2.civ@mail.mil (telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged). "MAG 800 CNC MILL" must appear in the subject line of the email or it will be deleted and not read. Responses must be received no later than 28 May 2019 at 10:00 A.M. CDT. Interested vendors are requested to submit a statement of the capabilities of their organization with respect to the government's Request for Information. Responses should include: 1. Prospective firm's name, address, phone number, socioeconomic status and DUNS number 2. General information of firm's previous experience on at least two projects of a similar scope, complexity and value; including the title, location, brief description of work, and dollar value Responses should be "short and to-the-point." This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation or to award a contract related to this project. NO FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS RFI IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. This RFI will expire on 28 May 2019 at 10:00 A.M. CDT.
