The US Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, on behalf of the Project Manager, Towed Artillery System (TAS) has a requirement to issue a solicitation for Firing Mechanism Cases and Wrenches to support the M777 Howitzer. The M777 Firing Mechanism Case and Firing Mechanism Wrench shall be built in accordance with the Statement of Work. The Government intends to make only one award as a result of this Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government will select for award the proposal that is the most advantageous and represents the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) offer to the Government. The RFP will be available electronically on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Business Web Site on or about fifteen (15) days from date of this announcement. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database by accessing the SAM web site at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for contract award. This Solicitation will be set aside for Small Businesess. The North American Industry Classification System(NAICS) code for this procurement is 332312 and the corresponding small business size standard is 500 employees. Proposal submission will be required thirty (30) days after the release of the RFP. Any interested party must have an approved DD 2345 form to obtain the appropriate drawings for this acquisition.
