A small dam islocated at the mouth of Eleven-Mile Canyon (ParkCounty, Colorado). This dam originally served as a diversion dam for Colorado Springs Utilities, however the Utilities ceased using the dam in the early 1990s based on changes to their infrastructure. The dam, which no longer serves a purpose, acts as a blockage to aquaticspecies. It is therefore the desire of the Coalition for the Upper South Platte and its partners, the United States Forest Service, and Colorado Trout Unlimited to begin the planning process for removal of the dam, including collecting information required for NEPA.
