Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Low Voltage Power Supply (LVPS), 6130-01-521-2947
ITEM DESCRIPTION
The LVPS is critical to the functionality of the AN/ALR-56C Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), which delivers the direct current (DC) voltages required by the receiver processor, the high band receiver, and the display unit. The LVPS is a subassembly in LRU-2C, Power Supply. The LRU-2C provides operating power for the RWR as well as panel lighting power to other aircraft systems. The AN/ALR-56C is the RWR portion of the F-15 Tactical Electronic Warfare System (TEWS).
Impediment to Competition:
The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Crane Electronics Inc (CAGE 09062), which maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own complete data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Crane is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the LVPS performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment.
INTEREST
The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Crane for the manufacture of the LVPS in support of the F-15 Electronic Warfare program. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 28 Aug 2018 to james.gordon.10@us.af.mil and/or dla.dlr.proc@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
