Low Pressure Electrolyzer
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to procure Low Pressure Electrolyzers (LPE) for submarine life support service. The LPE is a self-contained electro-chemical oxygen generating plant. The LPE's to be procured under the resultant contract shall be built using the Rockwell 1769 Series Control platform. The controller system shall incorporate Built In Test Equipment (BITE) watchdog timers and hard wire sensors to shut down separately as appropriate for safety. A full specification of the LPE shall be available once the solicitation has been issued, which is anticipated to be mid-July 2014.
Offerors will be expected to submit both technical and price proposals for the consideration of the Government. A firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract is anticipated to result from the solicitation (RFP). It is the intention of NSWCCD to issue this RFP through electronic means only. The RFP will be available as http://www.fbo.gov/. ; All prospective bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The NAICS code for this requirement is 333999.
