Low Noise Amplifiers
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one time, sole source basis to: Fairview Microwave, Inc., 301 Leora Lane, The Colony, TX 75056 for the purpose of providing Low Noise Amplifiers FMAM1009, FMAM3311, and FMAM1061. These Low Noise Amplifiers provide sufficient gain (> 30 dB) and a very low noise figure (1.4 dB for < 3 GHz and 5 dB for < 10 GHz) that are only available from Fairview Microwave, Inc. These technical characteristics are particularly important to improve the receive sensitivity of the FBI's existing inventory of high-end sensors and collection equipment. The resultant contract will fulfill the FBI's capability to target weak and hidden signals in noisy and remote environments.
The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Emailed responses will only be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.
