Looking for a Learning Management System
We are a private software company based in Toronto, Ontario Canada. As we prepare to launch an online training program for our customers, we currently seek a commercial LMS platform to host our course and manage our training program.
We have prepared an LMS Requirements Questionnaire document (see attachment) that will explain our needs and will enable you to determine if you have a product that will work for us. While budget is an obvious concern, we seek to shortlist the prospective products based on the business needs at this time.
Our timeframe is extremely short as we will be making a purchase within 30-days. If you believe that your product is a match for our needs, please provide the following:
1)Services and pricing.
2)Acquisition, installation and maintenance requirements.
3)Performance requirements for the "plug-and-play" LMS version based on our requirements.
4)Estimated frequency of product upgrades and patches.
5)Contact information for technical support personnel, training personnel and live telephone support.
6)Compliances and certifications.
Some key requirements that we require from an LMS product is the ability to have a robust Calendar system so that we can manage our in-class training sessions using the built-in Calendar functionality. The way that we expect the system to behave is that the Training Department will post scheduled in-class training dates on the LMS. Sales Teams and Customers can access this portion of the LMS and be able to see how many seats are available. The updating will be a manual process but it must be visible.
We also require integration with our existing social media portals and have the ability to do a single sign-on with our Technical Support Website where we currently host our Training information. That is an internally developed product.
Our mission is to create a "world-class" online training program and require a product to host it to work in providing this service to our customers.
The RFP will be available for 7 days. Proposals must be submitted by July 9, 2010.
Vendors who qualify will be required to install their LMS in a test bed environment according to our specifications. We will conduct a hands-on evaluation following Test Case Scenarios.
