Lonz Winery
The Department of Natural Resources is seeking proposals from qualified planning and/or development
consulting firms for a contract to analyze and provide recommendations for the future development of the
former Lonz Winery facility, adjacent Manor House and surrounding property located on the southern end of
Middle Bass Island, Ottawa County. The site was purchased by the State of Ohio in 2002 and is part of what
is now called Middle Bass Island State Park. The completed study will provide alternatives and
recommendations for sustainable development options, with potential funding/investment strategies for both
public entities and/or partnerships of private and public entities.
