The Government is conducting market research to determine the level of interest in the following non-commercial supply items:



This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and award of a contract will not be made as a result of this questionnaire. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport (NUWC Keyport) is requesting assistance from industry in regards to the capabilities and interest of large and small business entities, in the preparation of an anticipated Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for Locating Pins, manufactured in accordance with NAVORD drawing 2432054. This item is a piece of hardware meant to ensure correct orientation and location during assembly.


The procurement will consist of a total of twenty (20) Locating Pins. Vendors/contractors are urged to provide additional information regarding any minimum order quantity that may be more advantageous for price reasonableness and to include a brief rationale. Delivery will be required within sixty (60) days of contract award.


The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 332510 with a small business size standard of 750. The Defense Priorities and Allocations system (DPAS) applicable assigned rating for this requirement will be DO-C9.


Drawings and technical information referenced in this notice are restricted by the Arms Export Control Act and are ONLY available to vendors/contractors appointed Data Custodians that are registered with Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) Joint Certification Program (JCP). Performance under this contract requires the contractor to adhere to Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements. Please return the completed questionnaire no later than 26 May 2017. Responses should not exceed 5 pages, and shall be sent electronically to christine.m.patters1@navy.mil. DO NOT attach or email restricted drawings or information in response to this notice.


The Government may not respond to any specific questions or comments submitted in response to this sources sought notice or information provided as a result of this sources sought notice. Any information submitted by respondents as a result of this sources sought notice is strictly voluntary. This sources sought notice is for information planning purposes, the Government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted, and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.


All documentation shall become the property of the Government. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept proposals as a result of this sources sought notice. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced later via the Government-wide point of entry and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the response to this sources sought notice. Response to this notice is not a request to be added to a bidders list or to receive a copy of a solicitation.
