The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a single award for the provision of LiquaCel liquid protein supplement for required nutritional support at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri. The following is the brand name specified product due to the unique medical mission of the USMCFP-SPG: GH-92 LiquaCelTM Liquid Protein Supplement cases (Orange Flavor) 6 (32oz) bottles per case. The brand name justification includes that this is the only known product which meets the extremely low phosphorus and low potassium content ratio with regard the required protein. The total is estimated quantity is 312 cases by making delivery of 26 cases by the 15th of each month of the performance period. The performance period shall begin October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government based on price related factors. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside, FOB destination, firm fixed price contract.  The solicitation will be available on or about September 8, 2017, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is on or about September 22, 2017. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All offerors must be registered in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the SAM database may make an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220, or via the Internet at www.sam.gov or URL: http://www.FSD.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts.
