Liquid Calcium Chloride / Liquid Magnesium Chloride Anti-Icing Agents
This bid and resultant contract primarily cover the requirements for the State for the purchase and delivery of both liquid calcium chloride and/or liquid magnesium
chloride anti-icing agent(s) used for deicing purposes. Purchase orders will be issued on an as needed basis. No
minimum guaranteed amounts will be purchased. Estimated annual quantity (See Exhibit B) for liquid calcium
chloride is 727,145 gallons for winter season 2009/2010. This figure is based on historical usage only. The Department has a total number eight-seven (87) tanks. Tank capacity is five thousand (5,000) gallons each. All
product/material is to be delivered by tanker truck.
