The Product Manager, Soldier Precision Targeting Devices (PdM SPTD) located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is conducting a market survey. Sources within the United States are sought to retrofit existing Lightweight Laser Designator Rangefinder (LLDR) systems with a high accuracy, day/night celestial navigation module to accurately measure azimuth and vertical angle, supplementing the sensors existing within LLDR to meet Army performance requirements. The integration of the celestial navigation module includes precise alignment and calibration of the system and acceptance testing prior to delivery. PdM SPTD is considering a follow-on contract to sustain existing LLDRs and to continue retrofitting these devices on existing LLDR systems beginning in Government fiscal year 2016, and is seeking information from interested companies on their demonstrated ability to meet the requirements listed below. The Government does not possess the detailed technical data for this system. Interested sources must have the facilities, tooling, personnel, and expertise to integrate, calibrate, and test the celestial navigation sensors with the LLDR system.
