Library Consulting Services
University is soliciting responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for
firms interested in providing consulting services for a study of the University’s library. Moffett Library
is 49 years old and has not had significant renovation work in approximately 28 years. While it is the
wish of the University to bring the facility up to “learning commons” standards, funding for such an
endeavor is not available in the foreseeable future. Nevertheless, improvements for space utilization
through efficiency of the collection need to be investigated. The goal of this study is to address space
efficiency issues without limiting future renovation possibilities. The development of a realistic
approach to increased space efficiency with limited funding is the objective of this project.
