The Liberty Hill Foundation is accepting applications for its main grantmaking program, the Fund for Change.

The program seeks to change institutional policies and practices in Los Angeles so as to advance economic, environmental, and LGBTQ justice.

The fund supports different models of organizing in low-income communities and communities of color that engage a broad and growing base of people impacted by injustice and that systematically develop their leadership skills, have a clear plan to win concrete changes to institutional policies and practices, build power to take on bigger policy issues and increase impact over time, advance racial justice by addressing inequalities in institutional policies and practices that cause racial disparity, link local efforts to broader social movements, and.incorporate multiple strategies such as engaging strategic allies, coalition-building, social services, research, advocacy, media, communications, and voter engagement.

Liberty Hill will consider applications for work in the county of Los Angeles that is consistent with Fund for Change guidelines. To be eligible, applicant organizations must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status or an eligible fiscal sponsor. New organizations pioneering innovative organizing strategies are encouraged to apply.

The fund provides one-year grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.
