Legionella Sampling Stations Project 537-18-301A
Project No. 537-19-301A: Legionella Sampling Stations at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, IL. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). The Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, labor and supervision to provide Legionella Sampling and Biocide Injection Stations on the hot and cold water systems for Buildings: 1, 11, and 40. All services related to the Statement of Work (SOW) shall meet local, state, federal, VA, ADA, NFPA, life safety codes and directives. Work is to be completed within 162 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed.
In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about December 20, 2018 with the bid opening on/about January 20, 2019. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package.
The project magnitude range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors); size standard $15 million applies.
In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), SDVOSB firms must be verified in the VIP database (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) or hold a Re-verification symbol listed next to the firm s name (this symbol indicates that the firm is undergoing the re-verification process at CVE), prior to award of contract.
