The Purchasing Division is seeking proposals on behalf of the Department of Corrections for the lease of the Southern Nevada Correctional Center (SNCC), located in Jean, Nevada along the I-15 highway, approximately 30 miles south of Las Vegas and 15 miles north of the Nevada / California state line. The facility contains 700 correctional beds and is currently vacant. The lease will become effective upon approvals of the State Board of Examiners and the Legislative Interim Finance Committee, anticipated to be within 60 days of awarding a vendor. The term of the lease is negotiable; however a minimum lease of two years is required and can extend through a period of 5 years total.
