Learning Management System Software
Our university system of campuses seeks a Learning Management System software ("LMS") solution to support the online learning management needs of a four-campus system.
Currently, the various campuses utilize two officially supported LMS's - WebCT CE4.1 and eCollege. In addition, various instructors may at their discretion utilize regular web pages or other web-based curricular tools outside of the supported LMS's. The LMS's are used to support on-campus web supplemented courses, hybrid courses, and fully online courses and programs. In addition, a small number of academic research efforts are supported or enhanced by use of the LMS in a non-credit mode.
The intention of this RFP is to identify a solution that could be deployed for all four campuses. However we will also consider the option to purchase a LMS for a single or less than four multiple campuses. While it is our intent to select and purchase a commercial solution, We are also concurrently evaluating open source products.
