This Sources Sought notice is a request for information to be used for preliminary market research and planning purposes only. The Government is seeking responses from contractors interested and capable of performing the required services. No proposals are being requested or accepted. This is NOT a solicitation and no contract will be awarded from this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of interested parties including Small Business (SB); 8A; Historically Underutilized Business (HUBZone); Service-Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOB); and Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB).

The Lolo National Forest is made up to include the Aerial Fire Depot (AFD) and the Northern Rockies Fire Cache (NRFK). The Western Montana Acquisition Zone (WMAZ) expects to solicit for Laundry services of multiple Fire Cache supply items such as; tool roll cases (chainsaw & pump), case fire Shelters, chaps (all sizes), field packs, sleeping bags, wool blankets, tents, mattress covers, pillows, and fire clothes. Rental and replacement of entry rug items such as 3'x5', 3'x10', and 4'x8' are required every 2 weeks or 4 weeks from Vendor. Rental and replacement of coveralls and apron items are required weekly from Vendor.


Some of these supply items will require pick-up and delivery to Government facilities in Missoula locations. Certain large quantities of Fire Cache items require same day or 24 hour service during Fire Season.

In order to determine the extent of industry interest and capability, interested parties must submit a written response to ATTN: Theresa Peterson, USDA Forest Service, Region 1 AQM, 24 Fort Missoula Rd., MT 59804 or preferable by email tpeterson@fs.fed.us. Responses are due by December 19th, 2017 @ 1300). The responses shall include:


1) Name of Firm, Point of Contact, Mailing Address, Telephone Number, and DUNS number.
2) Identification of the appropriate small business eligibility as determined by the NAICS size standards, the Small Business Administration and registration in System for Award Management (SAM), including SB, HUBZone, 8A, SDVOB and WOSB.
3) A brief description of experience providing this type of services including dollar value of previous work performed within the past three years.
