Laser Small Diameter Bomb (LSDB) MQ-9 Integration - FA8620-18-F-2366. This is a presolicitation synopsis. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Medium Altitude UAS Division, AFLCMC/WIIK, intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI). This effort contains the required support, planning, analysis, installation, testing, and execution of GBU-39B/B integration via the Universal Armament Interface (UAI) onto a Block 5 MQ-9 Reaper UAS via a Dual Carriage System (DCS) with a Block 30 Ground Control Station. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. GA-ASI is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Reaper systems and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience and technical data required to perform these efforts. The Government does not own the data rights for the system; therefore, to avoid duplication costs, the Government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement action is 336413. Please indicate number of employees relative to the size standard of 1,000 for determination of small business status.
