Landfill Construction Quality Assurance Testing
Overview
County is planning to construct an expansion to their municipal
solid waste landfill. The project entails some grading of the landfill site to accept the composite liner system: installation of the landfill liner; installation of the leachate collection system, including all piping, geosynthetic clay liner, HDPE liner, drainage layer, and construction of surface drainage runon and runoff control measures; top soiling and seeding; and, related work thereto.
Scope
The scope of services for this project, in general, would include
construction quality assurance as described in Technical Specifications
prepared by Dewberry & Davis, Inc. The selected firm will be responsible
for certifying that all construction activities have been constructed in
accordance with The State Department of Environmental Quality permit
#571.
