Lakehead District School Board --OFFICE PRODUCTS and RELATED ITEMS
The Lakehead District School Board (hereafter referred to as the "LDSB" or "Board") is inviting Requests for Proposals (RFP) for the service, supply and delivery of office products and related items as needed for its operation.
The LDSB is a publicly funded educational facility with its head office located at the Jim McCuaig Education Centre, 2135 Sills Street, Thunder Bay, ON. The LDSB (Board) currently operates 22 elementary and 4 secondary schools and employees approximately 1,250 academic and support staff. The LDSB estimates the total value of office products purchased over the last year at approximately $220,000. This value does not include copy paper or office furniture. Approximately 90% of these requirements have been placed through a supplier's on-line electronic ordering system with the balance placed by hard copy purchase order. The Board's main account accommodates individual accounts for all LDSB ordering locations. Each ordering location orders by internal department accounts. Each departmental account represents a separate order. There are over 70 (seventy) accounts currently in place. It is the Board's preference to procure goods through an on-line ordering method with a system that can accommodate a tiered level of account set-up and approvals.
This is a Request for Proposal and not a tender call. The Board has the right to negotiate with the proponent(s) that presents the most attractive proposal to arrive at a mutually agreeable final contract(s). Negotiations may be held with selected proponents including, but not limited to: price adjustments; minor changes to requirements; contract details; contract payment details; service requirements. It is not the intent of the Board to allow for new or significantly altered proposals. The Board shall have the final authority on all matters regarding this Request for Proposal.
