Laboratory Supplies and Equipment
The State of New York proposes to establish Statewide, multiple award contracts with authorized distributors or
manufacturers based on the terms and conditions contained herein. These contracts are meant to be comprehensive,
covering a broad range of laboratory supplies and equipment to be utilized in the laboratory environment. (Note: This
bid is not a bid for laboratory furnishings. A small offering contained within a vendors broad spectrum Laboratory
supplies catalog may be allowed but complete manufacturers lines are not meant to be covered.)
The resultant award is not intended to be a mechanism to obtain stand alone equipment and products such as
computers and peripherals, furniture, industrial tools and supplies, audio visual products, or books and serials unless
those types of products are part of a vendors larger general product offering. Software that is part of a general
laboratory supplies and equipment catalog or software that works in conjunction with equipment offered by the vendor
will be allowed.
In addition, bidders whose offering consists principally of the following categories available under the listed
group numbers shall not be considered for award:
Chromatography products / Group 38700
Spectroscopy products / Group 38700
Test Measurement Instrumentation (Electronics Testing Equipment) / Group 38728
Laboratory and Science Teaching Supplies / 12004
Clinical Analyzers/Immunocytomery Systems / Group 34110
