Laboratory Reporting And Case Data
The Department is soliciting proposals from firms that are able to assist the Department to obtain compliance with Section 124130 of the California Health and Safety Code. Section 124130 stipulates that all laboratories are to electronically report all blood lead test results and specifies additional information that is to be prepared with the blood lead test. The contractor will also manage and perform data processing associated with capturing the blood lead test information in the State surveillance system, enter information on follow up of and management of lead poisoned children, assure that counties are alerted on high blood lead levels, move with counties to achieve access to the CLPPB data, and carry out analyses and quality assurance functions.
