Laboratory Information Management System
RFP Purpose
The purpose of this request for proposals (RFP) is to receive competitive proposals for qualificationsbased
selection of a contractor to provide professional services for replacement of the Laboratory's
current Excel based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
This RFP does not constitute a contract for services performed or to be performed. After selection of
the successful firm (referred to as the contractor), the organization and the contractor will negotiate a
contract and a complete scope of services.
This project will include the following key components:
Software to support the organization's LIMS function
Installation and implementation of the software package
Training on the new software package
Annual maintenance contract to maintain the system, correct deficiencies and provide
operational assistance as needed
All proposals submitted become the property of the organization and will not be returned. The
organization is not responsible for any costs incurred by the respondent in proposal preparation,
presentations, or benchmarks performed.
