Lab Testing for Surge Protection Modules

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Mobile Air Traffic Assets contemplates issuing a screening information request (SIR) to for lab testing to provide an independent third party validation the devices meet the FAA requirements.

Testing must be performed in accordance with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) C62.36-2014 standard on prototype surge protection devices.

The breakdown voltages for these surge protection devices are either 7 V or 60 V.

The principle North American Industry Classification Systems Code is 541380 Electrical testing laboratories or services

At this time, the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or a set-aside for small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program.

The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, 8(a) certified firms, and ALL other business types and sizes, capable of providing renovating mobile assets. The FAA would also like comment on a proposed contract type.

In order to assist with acquisition strategy development and to gain a better understanding of the commercial marketplace, the FAA requests the following information from interested vendors:

A. Name of Company (the resultant Prime contractor that may ultimately be awarded the subsequent contract).
B. Address
C. Point of Contact name, e-mail address and telephone number
D. Business Declaration Form
E. DUNS Number
F. Relevant experience on projects of similar size and complexity within the last five years. Provide specific contract numbers, contact names, addresses and email information to support claimed capabilities
H.Number of years in Business

Please limit complete response to no more than 4 pages. Information provided will not be released; however, please mark PROPRIETARY on all documents submitted as necessary.
