Purpose: The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to the Consolidated Facilities Maintenance services for the Veterans Administration, Montrose VA Medical Center (VAMC).
Authority: Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-solicitation Notices.
Description: The Montrose VA Medical Center in Northport, New York, has a requirement for LVT Flooring Installation. Work includes:
Install Infection Control Measures (Plastic barrier, Negative pressure, sticky mats, etc.) to prevent transmission of dust.
Demolish and Remove Existing VCT Flooring. (approx. 13,100 SF)
Flooring Preparation to include leveling. (approx. 13,100 SF)
Install LVT via Direct Glue Method. (approx. 13,100 SF) as shown on attached FP-01 FLOOR FINISH PLAN
Install Cove Base (approx. 3,300 LF) as shown on attached FP-01 FLOOR FINISH PLAN
Place of Performance: Montrose VAMC, 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose NY 10548.
Sole Source/Competitive Acquisition: This will be a competitive acquisition set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) participation, competed in FBO only.
Contract Type: Firm Fixed-Price
Period of Performance:B This contract will be for a period of up to 90 days.
Government-Furnished Property/Equipment: None noted at this time.
Expiration of this synopsis/notice: August 16, 2019
Release Date of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that Solicitation No. 36C24219R0176 will be released on or around August 15, 2019. Should complications arise resulting in a delay in the release of the solicitation, the Contracting Officer will provide an update through FBO.
